Headlice Advice
According to a recent newspaper article, research suggests that around 10 per cent of pupils in a school have nits, which in an average primary school is about 40 children at any one time. Damp, warm weather and an increasing resilience to conventional treatments is to blame for the outbreak, according to one expert. In our attempts to reduce the problem within Alton Park School we asked for some advice from ACE to pass onto parents. They have provided us with a leaflet – click on the button below to view. Please help us to tackle this problem – check your child’s head on a weekly basis and treat in accordance with the advice. Thank you for your co-operation.
The Resource Vault (Children’s Society) – Emotional and Mental Health site for children
The Children’s Society website is an absolute treasure-trove of information with just about everything young people need to know about emotional and mental health. Called the Resource Vault, the resources are organised by age group. Each entry has further links about where to find more information. Although aimed at young people themselves, its a good resources for those working with them to dip into.
