Year 6

Introduction

Whale

Welcome to Year Six!

Year 6 is an important time in our pupils’ education for a number of reasons: they are the oldest children in the school and are therefore role models for other year groups; it’s their final year before heading off to secondary school; and, of course, they get to show off all of their amazing progress when they sit their SATs.

Year Six children also learn about some very exciting topics, such as World War I and II, The Victorians and The Americas. As well as that, they have the always-unmissable end of year production to look forward to and our annual residential trip – which will be at Bradwell this year.

Helping them through this crucial time are their teachers – Mr Twyman, Mr Wainford, Mr Moore and Miss Diffey– plus a dedicated team of excellent teaching assistants.

We are really proud of our Year 6 children and all that they achieve, we hope you enjoy learning a little more about us through our page.
