Coral the octopus

Octopus Ahoy!

As a school, we were recently asked to decorate an octopus sculpture to celebrate the 150 year anniversary of Clacton-on-Sea. The Octopus Ahoy! launch is fast approaching – the 90 octopus sculptures will hit the streets of Tendring and its surrounding areas on Friday 25th June!

Alton Park’s octopus sculpture will be featuring in this trail.  The free Octopus Ahoy! app (from Apple or Android stores) is available for download now. The app allows you to find our school’s octopus location and go and see it this summer.

The trail takes place 25th June-5th September and then the large sculptures are auctioned for charity on the 23rd September and our school octopus is returned to us, as a lasting memento of this wonderful project.

It’s a FREE family fun public art trail with amazing prizes and rewards by simply scanning the large professionally painted art sculptures along the way.
