Year 6: Staying safe online

This morning, each Year 6 class had a socially distanced visit by two police constables from Clacton Police Station. Unfortunately, social media has been used inappropriately by some of the children in recent weeks and so the school invited the constables in to talk to the children about staying safe online. The sessions were very informative and helpful, explaining the age of criminal responsibility and discussing what to do if inappropriate messages are received. Before they left, the constables remarked on how sensible the children’s numerous questions had been, which was great to hear! We would like to thank them for their time.
