Year 6

Introduction

Welcome to Year Six!

Year 6 is an important time in our pupils’ education for a number of reasons: they are the oldest children in the school and are therefore role models for other year groups; it’s their final year before heading off to secondary school; and, of course, they get to show off all of their amazing progress when they sit their SATs.

Year Six children also learn about some very exciting topics, such as World War II and Trade and Economics. As well as that, they have the always-unmissable end of year production to look forward to and our annual residential trip.

Helping them through this crucial time are their teachers – Mrs Grigg, Mrs Preston, Mrs Howell, Mrs Burns and Miss Diffey– plus a dedicated team of excellent teaching assistants.

We are really proud of our Year 6 children and all that they achieve. We hope you enjoy learning a little more about us through our page.
