On Friday 7th February, year 4 took part in Europe Day. They used a variety of skills and learnt a lot about this term’s topic, while also having fun.
After looking at famous landmarks, they used their DT skills to build their own Eiffel Towers from straws and tape. In art, they looked at ’Op Art’ from the Swedish artist, Gianni Sarconi, and got creative, making their own optical illusion pictures. PE was a session of German handball. During this lesson, they thought about teamwork and how to support others. The children also had a cooking lesson, where they baked delicious Irish soda bread.
