Christmas Celebrations

This morning, we started our day off with our annual Christmas assembly in the hall. We learnt about the Christmas story and sang carols. After this, 6D treated us to something they’ve been working on: a rendition of ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ (Aussie style). We also sang ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ as a school, but this time with a special Alton Park twist. Why not get your child to show you the dance moves at home? Assembly finished with a rousing chorus of ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’, ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’.

After assembly, children and staff spent the rest of the morning getting creative and making their Christmas lunch hats. Lunch was a traditional festive feast of turkey with all the trimmings, followed by snowmen cupcakes or ice-cream for dessert.

We also wore our Christmas jumpers today to raise money for St Helena Hospice. With your help, we managed to raise £129.89!
