Yesterday, Year 3 went on a trip to Clacton library to learn about the history of the town and how it has changed over the years. At the library, they went upstairs to delve into the treasure trove that is the library museum and looked at artefacts from years gone by. They even found an old Alton Park report card from the 1960s in there!
Before setting off to head back to school, the children managed to squeeze in some time to explore what the library is most well known for and get lost in a good book.
This trip links to the upcoming local walk, where the children will further expand their knowledge of our local history.
