Every Tuesday, a visiting music teacher, from the Music for Schools Foundation, will be coming to the school to offer musical instrument lessons. These include: flute, clarinet, saxophone, cornet or trumpet. Lessons are taught in small groups, usually between 2-5 pupils, which helps to develops listening skills, ensemble skills and allows for mutual support between children.
The foundation, which has been teaching children to play instruments since 1997, aims to make music accessible, affordable and enjoyable, whilst building co-ordination, communication and confidence.
