Our Year 6’s have been working incredibly hard in the build up to SATs which take place between 14th and 18th May 2018 so we have decided to provide some treats for them as follows:-
- During SATS week, we will provide a breakfast to all Year 6 children. This is a nice opportunity for the children to get together and have some time with their friends and the adults within school for a calm start before the tests. We will be offering cereal, toast and fruit juice to start their day off Monday – Thursday and then as part of ‘Friday Treat Day’, the children will have the additional option of bacon or sausage baps. The children will need to be at school for the usual time of 8:40am. Don’t forget to sign the permission slip at the bottom of the letter sent home with children this week so your child can take part. You can download a copy of the letter here.
- At the end of SATS week (week beginning 14th May 2018), we are planning to spend Friday as a treat day. As part of this, we aim to provide the children with a cooked breakfast, auditions for the year 6 production, art and then we hope to show the children the recent film ‘The Greatest Showman’, which is based on a true story and set in the historical period that we are studying with our topic, ‘The Victorians’. Again, a letter was sent home giving full details of the film rating and content. You can also download it here. If you have any concerns and would prefer your child not to watch this film, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 6 teaching team.
In the meantime, thank you to all the parents/carers for their ongoing support.
