Year 3 ‘potato’ day

Back in February 3PC chitted some potatoes and put them on their class window sill.

In march the whole of year 3 helped plant the potatoes in the year 3 garden.

For the next couple of months they were watered, until they were ready to harvest.

In June (helped by Mrs Jagger) the potatoes were harvested.

In July the year 3 children scrubbed the potatoes and Mr Crees cut them into chips.

Mr Crees then part-boiled the chips and then oven baked them for 30 minutes.

Finally all the children in year 3 got to eat the chips they had grown, harvested and prepared.

THEY WERE TASTEY CHIP BUTTIES!
